This interactive program will feature a variety of activity stations designed to teach important bike safety skills in an engaging and hands-on way. Participants will have the chance to learn about helmet safety, road rules, and basic bike maintenance, all while enjoying games and activities. The Yates County Sheriff's Office New York will be onsite to lead a special presentation and share valuable safety tips for riders of all ages! ⛑ Additionally, Yates County Public Health will be on hand to share in the fun!

This event is perfect for kids and families who love to ride or are just getting started. Bring your bike (and your helmet!) and be ready to learn, play, and build confidence on two wheels. In addition to a free helmet, there will be free goody bags for each child, as well as free ice cream from Mac's Dairy Bar for the kids! 🍦

Ontario County Public Health Update:

We are investigating a suspected locally acquired hantavirus case. There is NO connection to the cruise ship outbreak, and there is no risk to the general public.

Hantavirus infections are rare in New York. The virus is spread through mouse and rodent droppings, especially when urine, f***s, or nesting materials become aerosolized during cleaning.

*US hantavirus strains don’t spread from person-to-person. The only strain known to spread this way is the Andes virus which we’ve been hearing about in the news, related to a cruise ship.

As we head into spring, please use masks, gloves, and proper cleaning precautions when opening or cleaning attics, cabins, sheds, and garages.
