Family Swim: 5-5:50pm
Adult Swim: 6-6:50pm

Our 5th LGBTQIA+ pool party featuring music by DJ Robert Drake is back this Saturday, August 1st from 1-5pm (open swim schedule for the event.) All are welcome. 📣To limit the emails/messages we receive regarding these questions:

O’Connor Pool is part of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and is a FREE City of Philadelphia public pool. Please refer to our schedule (pinned to the top of our page) for hours.

Open Swim: - anyone can come to swim. Children under 8 and/or 50 inches tall MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. This means the adult must be within 5 feet of the child in the pool at all times. Please note limit is 2 children under 8 and 50” tall per adult. Just because they have a life jacket on does not mean they are ok to swim alone!

Family Swim: adult must have children under 18 with them, children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 21+ no exceptions.

Adult Swim: must be 18+ to enter. Lap lanes available upon request.

Lifeguard to patron ratio is 30:1.

Example: 2 guards = 60 people, 3 lifeguards = 90 people, 4 guards = 120 people

Yes, even those laying out on chairs are counted because at any time they can become an active swimmer. If you are a sunbather, we ask that you kindly keep it to off peak hours so that those waiting to swim can enter the facility.

If we reach our capacity during open swim, a line then starts. A timer for 45 mins will then start. As people leave, we can let people in. If we still have a line after 45 mins then we will do a rotation. Everyone must leave the pool deck with everything they came with and leave out the LeCount Street gate and get in line for the 26th Street side gate.

*Family swim and adult swim are subject to one rotation during the hour if there is a line and we’ve reached capacity.*

No alcohol, illegal substances, va**ng, smoking, speakers with music are allowed!

Proper swimwear is required. No cotton based clothing, jeans, cut offs, basketball shorts, mesh shorts, street clothing allowed. Rash guards and full body danskin suits made of lycra material are allowed for religious reasons. Swim trunks must have netting and no underwear allowed underneath.

No flotations devices allowed. Only U.S Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed.

Goggles that cover the nose are not permitted.

Respect the staff and the rules. We want everyone to have a safe and fun summer.
