The Citizens Police Oversight Commission is the official civilian oversight agency of the City of Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Police Department. The mission of the Commission is to improve the relationship between the police department and the community. The Commission conducts investigations of individual citizen complaints of police misconduct, and/or studies of police department policies,

procedures or practices. Findings and recommendations made by the Commission are forwarded directly to the Mayor, the City Managing Director and the Police Commissioner for their review and appropriate action. "Oversight is Public Safety"

Civilians Who Wish To Attend Should:
Enter through the Broad Street Entrance.
Tell security that they are there for a PBI Hearing.

If you are waiting to attend a CAP you submitted, the Philadelphia Police Department will notify you by mail prior to the date.

Security will contact PBI who will give permission on access.
If admitted for a CAP PBI Hearing, civilians will be escorted to Room M:013 by a PBI Officer.
