Training Alert:

The Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company will be conducting training exercises at the fire house on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13. Residents may notice large amounts of smoke in the area, particularly during the afternoon hours on both days. Please be aware that the smoke is a result of scheduled fire department training and is not an emergency.

If you witness an actual emergency or are unsure whether a situation is related to the training, please do not hesitate to call 911.

We appreciate your understanding and support as our firefighters continue their training.

Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

A quarter of a century has passed, but we will never forget the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to help others.

On this 25th anniversary, we honor their lives, their bravery, and their sacrifice. We also remember the unity, compassion, and strength our nation showed in the days that followed.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🚗 Car Seat Safety Week is Coming Up! 👶

In recognition of Car Seat Safety Week, the Souderton Borough Police Department is proud to help keep our youngest community members safe!

We have a limited number of car seats available to distribute to families in our community who are truly in need. Car seats will be provided on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Our goal is to make sure every child has access to a safe and properly installed car seat.

If you are currently in need of a car seat, you do not have to wait until Car Seat Safety Week to reach out! Please contact Amanda Koch at [email protected] for more information.

As always, you may also make an appointment with our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) to have your child’s car seat checked for proper installation and fit. Car seat safety checks are available by appointment.

📧 To request a car seat or schedule a car seat safety check, contact Amanda Koch at [email protected].

💙 Keeping our littlest passengers safe, one car seat at a time!

🍎SCHOOL IS BACK🍎

The Souderton School District, and a lot of parents, are glad that school is finally back in session. Just a few reminders so our students can return for a safe school year.

🚸The crossing guards are an important part of our overall public safety plan. Their job is to keep students out of harm’s way, and we thank them for their service. Please follow their direction and be courteous.

🚌Buses are equipped with flashing red signals for a reason. When activated, we all know what to do and what not to do. The Souderton Borough Police use a lot of discretion on traffic stops, but we have zero tolerance for school bus violations.

Now, let’s get our kids back to school safely so we can act like we miss them when they’re gone.

Thank You on behalf of the Souderton Borough Police Officers. We are parents too.
