Mountain Sky is committed to achieving excellence for every child, every day, every opportunity by providing a developmentally appropriate learning environment for early adolescents. We offer students an educational environment featuring all the components of a successful middle school including a curriculum that is fully aligned with State Standards and taught by highly qualified and trained facu

lty. We recognize that middle school students are undergoing dramatic physical, social, and emotional changes in their lives. Taking this into account, we are designed to provide a secure, stable, and academically challenging learning environment. Each grade level is broken into core teams that focus on academic rigor, integrated curriculum units, consistent expectations, and quality communication. The team of teachers (language arts, science, social studies, and math) meets at least once weekly to coordinate lessons, track student development, set common expectations and homework standards, and communicate with parents. A support team that includes a middle school counselor, a program coach, ELL specialist and academic interventionists assists the team teachers. A developmentally responsive middle level schools provide:

5. Curriculum that is challenging, integrative and exploratory
6. Varied teaching and learning approaches.
7. Assessment/evaluation that promotes learning
8. Flexible organizational structures
9. Programs and policies that foster health, wellness and safety.
10. Comprehensive guidance/support services. Mountain Sky offers strong extracurricular programs, a lower teacher-to-student ratio advisory period, social and student services programs, and a model special education inclusion program. To further meet the needs and interests of our students, Mountain Sky provides exploratory programs such as eight full-year music classes based on performance groups, art and physical education for one hour each day.

Bonnette, Graham, Haack, Nu, Strnad, and Soberano.

Nest Classes at the 12:30pm ceremony are
Bourque, Britt, Fortner, Luther, D. Meyer, and Tims.

All students brought home promotion tickets today, Families will enter the gym through the south gym doors.

The last day of school is Tuesday, May 19. Dismissal time is 2:30pm.
