We are so proud of these Campus Chapter volunteers. Every day they remind us of what is possible when a community works together.

THANK YOU, PICKENS COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY CLEMSON UNIVERSITY CHAPTER! ❤️

We had some extra helping hands today! 😁

A wonderful crew from the Pickens County Habitat for Humanity Clemson University Chapter came out to help us clean up the construction site at our proposed new facility.

With renovations underway and so much happening as we prepare for our proposed transition, having a group willing to roll up their sleeves and simply say, “We're here to help,” means more than they know. 💕

They spent their time helping clean and clear construction debris, getting us another step closer to having the building ready.

To every student who gave up part of their Saturday to serve alongside us: THANK YOU! We appreciate your time, your hard work and your willingness to serve our organization and the people who will ultimately walk through these doors. 💙

We couldn't let the day end without getting a picture of this awesome crew! 😁

Thank you, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity Clemson University Chapter! We appreciate you! 🧡💜

We’re opening the door to something new!

As Habitat for Humanity marks 50 years of building with families and communities, affiliates around the world are joining the Let’s Open the Door campaign to raise awareness about the need for safe, affordable housing.

Here in Pickens County, we’re creating our own Open Door Project. This week, members of the Daniel High School football team helped create the first door in what will be a community display shared this fall.

The finished designs are staying under wraps for now, but each door will represent part of the community showing up in support of affordable homeownership in Pickens County.

Thank you to the Daniel High School football team for helping us begin.

More doors are coming soon.

Five volunteer groups on one tiny house is not normal for us. It is a big deal, made even more impressive by the work they accomplished.

This tiny house represents stable shelter for a veteran, and this week Clemson’s Nieri Department of Construction and Real Estate Development, Purple Heart Homes Golden Corner Chapter , Upstate Warrior Solution, The Legacy Home, mFuge, and Pickens County Habitat for Humanity all came together to help move it closer to completion.

We are grateful for everyone who came out and kept working despite the heat. This is what community support can accomplish when people show up together. 🔨🏠

This is what teamwork off the field looks like. 💙

This week, the young men of Daniel High School football showed up for Pickens County Habitat for Humanity, measuring, cutting, drilling, and hauling lumber to build accessibility ramps for veterans in our community. Ramps that mean independence, dignity, and easier days for the people who served our country.

They also picked up a paintbrush to create a door representing their team as part of Let's Open the Door, Habitat for Humanity International's global campaign celebrating 50 years of building. The message is simple: behind every open door is a story, and everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Thank you to these students, their coaches, and everyone who came out. You opened doors that would have remained closed without you. 🚪🦁

This was supposed to be our quiet season.

Instead, four new volunteer groups joined us this June, each bringing different skills and a shared purpose. Students, faculty, construction professionals, church groups, and first-timers all found their own way to contribute: installing flooring, finishing trim, digging trenches in the heat, or testing a new resource for future leaders.

Habitat's work is bigger than any one project or skill set. It takes all of it, and this June proved that.
