โฐ Closures are expected to generally occur Monday night through Friday morning, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and are anticipated to continue through the end of September.

โš ๏ธ Motorists are encouraged to use caution, slow down, and allow additional travel time when traveling through the work zone.

Please drive safely and watch for construction crews and equipment.

Due to the ongoing legal concerns surrounding the use of the number 5, we have made the difficult decision to prohibit our officers from giving high fives.
Effective Immediately:
High fours or absolutely nothing at all.

Our Code Enforcement Officer and Neighborhood Liaison Officers have been working to address an influx of parking complaints throughout our community.

The City has various โ€œNO PARKINGโ€ signs in place, many of which have been posted for some time. Some of the parking concerns being reported are creating legitimate safety risks for motorists, pedestrians, and other roadway users.

Not all of our streets are wide enough to safely accommodate parking along the roadway. When vehicles are parked in restricted areas, they can limit visibility, narrow the roadway, and create hazards for passing vehicles, emergency responders, pedestrians, and other commuters.

As a result, we will begin actively enforcing posted parking restrictions to help keep our streets safe and accessible for everyone.

Did you know the Pineville Police Department has numerous FAA Part 107-licensed drone operators?

This image was captured after one of our Community officers received complaints about suspicious activity in the woods behind one of our neighborhoods. One of our drone operators provided an additional perspective and assisted our officers on the ground while an officer navigated the wooded area on a side-by-side.

Our Neighborhood Liaison Officers take great pride in being proactive and using every resource available to help ensure our residents feel safe, secure, and ready to thrive.

On July 31, 2026, the Pineville Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 1800 block of Military Highway. Officer Chris Busby and Officer Jessie Sanchez arrived on scene within moments and discovered an unconscious individual inside a vehicle. After a rapid assessment, they determined the individual was suffering from a suspected narcotics overdose.

Without hesitation, Officer Busby and Officer Sanchez safely removed the individual from the vehicle. Upon finding no detectable pulse, they immediately began life-saving measures. While one officer initiated CPR, the other retrieved and administered Narcan. Their coordinated response, composure under pressure, and decisive actions were instrumental in providing the individual with a chance at survival.

Officer Busby and Officer Sanchez demonstrated exceptional professionalism, courage, and commitment to preserving human life. Their calm demeanor, sound judgment, and willingness to act immediately under extremely stressful circumstances exemplify the highest standards of the Pineville Police Department. Had they hesitated, the outcome could have been tragically different.

On behalf of the Pineville Police Department, we commend Officer Chris Busby and Officer Jessie Sanchez for their outstanding service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving our community. Their actions reflect great credit upon themselves, this department, and the law enforcement profession. They are a true testament to the oath they took to protect and serve.

The Pineville Police Department would like to wish the Pineville High School Senior Class of 2027 a fantastic school year!

We had the pleasure of escorting the seniors from Buhlow Lake to school following their Sunrise Breakfast. It was great to see so much excitement as they kick off what will be a memorable year.

Good luck, seniors! Stay safe, make smart decisions, and enjoy every moment of your final year! Weโ€™re cheering you on!

The Pineville Police Department is proud to participate in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign leading up to and through the Labor Day holiday.

From August 19, 2026, through September 7, 2026, Pineville Police officers will conduct increased traffic enforcement and saturation patrols throughout the city with a focus on identifying and removing impaired drivers from our roadways.

If your plans include alcohol, plan ahead. Choose a designated driver, use a rideshare service, call a friend or family member, or arrange another safe way home. One poor decision can have life-changing consequences.

According to the LSU Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety, 31% of all motor vehicle crashes in Louisiana in 2022 were alcohol-related, and 261 people lost their lives in alcohol-impaired driving crashes. While those numbers declined slightly in 2023, even one impaired driving crash is one too many.

Our goal is not to issue citations, it's to save lives. By increasing enforcement during this campaign, we hope to deter impaired driving and keep our community safe throughout the Labor Day holiday.

Drive sober, arrive safely, and help us make this Labor Day a safe one for everyone.
