Kees Park is OPEN!!!!

After being shut down for almost 3 months, just the playground area of Kees Park has re-opened. Please continue to observe social distancing and be respectful of others in playground area.

At 3:42 PM the Pineville Police Department received a report of a single vehicle motorcycle crash US 167 @ LA 28. The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is currently under investigation. An identity of the driver will not be made public until a next of kin has been notified.

Tragedy struck today in Baton Rouge....one officer was killed and another is in critical condition. They were both shot while searching for a murder suspect from an earlier domestic violence murder.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims in today's senseless acts of violence. Please pray for the officer that is in critical condition fighting for their life.

Today we celebrate the upcoming retirement of Captain Clyde Lemmons. Clyde has served in Law Enforcement for 38 years, with the last 30 at the Pineville Police Department. Capt. Lemmons is retiring as the Commander of Special Services and the Pineville Motorcycle Division. Clyde was one of the original Motor Officers with the Department. We wish him well on his next chapter in life and thank him for his many years of service.

🚨 WATER OUTAGE THIS TUESDAY ON EDGEWOOD DRIVE 🚨

Due to utility relocation work on Edgewood Drive in preparation for the Edgewood/Susek Drive Roundabout, water service will be interrupted for a portion of Edgewood Drive on Tuesday, April 21st, starting at 8:00 am.

The relocation of the water lines and return of water service is expected to be completed within 8 hours and will be restored as progress is made along the route.

174 residences and commercial businesses will be impacted this Tuesday including the following streets:

Edith - 7
Comanche - 14
Iris Park - 30
Iris Circle - 6
Indian Hills Subdivision - 57
Susek - 4
Shopping Center - 4
Edgewood Dr - 53

Once the water service is restored, customers will be under a boil advisory until tests are returned on the new line.

Additionally, motorists should be aware that on Thursday, April 23rd, starting at 11:00 pm, work will begin on another line that will be relocated - but will NOT impact service - just asking motorists to be cautious this Thursday night into Friday morning.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, Alayna Shian Jackson.

Alayna is a 16 year old white female with purple hair (natural color is Auburn) and blue eyes. Alayna is 5’ 10” tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

On Tuesday April 14th, 2020, Alayna was reported missing from her residence located in the Deville area. Alayna was last seen at the residence, on the previous evening wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, torn blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, Marssia Leigh-Ann Davis.

Marssia is a 15 year old black female with brown hair and brown eyes. Marssia is 5’ 5” tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

On Saturday April 04th, 2020, Marssia was reported missing from the Kellyland Subdivision area of Alexandria. Marssia was last seen the following day, at residence located in the subdivision.

Employment The Pineville Police Department is one of the most progressive police departments in the State of Louisiana. Our vision of the Pineville Police Department is incorporated with the words Unity, Loyalty and Integrity. Every officer within the Department holds true to these words. We feel, that because of our credo and the officers acceptance of this, our Department strives for nothing less than ultimate success. To apply for Police Officer with the City of Pineville all applicants must have a valid police officer test score from the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service System. The office of the State Examiners website, www.ose.louisiana.gov , has all of the information needed to take an examination. Once you have taken the test and received a letter from the Civil Service Board of your passing grade, then you may submit this confirmation letter along with an application to the Pineville Fire and Police Civil Service Board, P.O. Box 3940 Pineville, LA 71361. All applications submitted must have copies of the following attached: Birth Certificate, High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma, Driver's License, and Social Security Card. Once the letter is received and accepted then your name will be placed on the eligibility list for Police Officer for 18 months from the date of test.
