While preparing for Basic Combat Training, PVT Powell will attend monthly RSP drills to begin building the skills and knowledge needed for the next step in his military career.

After completing his initial training, he’ll return home to Louisiana ready to serve in the Guard while continuing to build toward his future.

❓ FAQ Friday: What kind of job will I do in the Guard?
Your ASVAB score does more than help determine whether you qualify for enlistment. It also plays a role in which Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) may be available to you.

A score of 31 or higher is required to qualify for enlistment, and your individual scores help determine the Guard career paths you may be eligible for.

Not sure what your scores could mean for you? A Louisiana Army National Guard recruiter can walk you through your options and help you find an MOS that fits your strengths and goals.

We currently have select career fields offering an enlistment bonus, including:

• 11B – Infantryman( Compare to: Security Guard, Corrections Officer, Police Officer) Currently available bonus: $10,000
• 11C – Indirect Fire Infantryman (Compare to: Specialized Security) Currently available bonus: $20,000

Plus:
• 100% Tuition Exemption at Louisiana state schools
• Health insurance options
• Get paid for every day you serve

A new chapter is taking flight for PVT Tayven Grace.🚁

Congratulations to Tayven, a senior at Mandeville High School, on enlisting in the Louisiana Army National Guard as a 15T UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter Repairer! 🚁

While completing his senior year, PVT Grace will attend monthly RSP drills to prepare for Basic Combat Training. After graduation, he’ll begin the training needed to inspect, maintain, and repair Black Hawk helicopters.

Once his training is complete, he will return home to Louisiana and serve alongside his brother in their aviation unit, making this next chapter even more meaningful.
