If the call to duty, honor, and service resonates with you, type “CDDP” in the search box at https://skillbridge.mil/locations to apply! The Cemetery Director Development Program prepares future leaders for the National Cemetery Administration. This program provides a structured pathway into roles that support the agency’s mission, with a focus on leadership, cemetery management, and cemetery operations.

Cemetery Director Trainee positions are hired at the GS‑9 or GS‑11 level based on qualifications, with a full performance level of GS‑11. Promotion is available after meeting all program requirements.

Training includes both classroom instruction and hands‑on cemetery operations, along with required travel to the National Training Center in St. Louis, MO. Participants must sign a mobility agreement confirming willingness to relocate to any cemetery location. Final duty station will be determined upon selection; applicant preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed.
