NOCEM was proud to join Mayor Helena Moreno and City leadership for the 2027 Budget Community Meetings across all five City Council districts.

These meetings gave residents an opportunity to hear directly from City leadership, ask questions, and share the priorities they want reflected in the City’s upcoming budget.

From District E to last night’s final meeting in District A, we appreciated the opportunity to be present, connect with residents, and hear directly from the communities we serve.

A big thank you to our partners at Ochsner Health for donating two high-water vehicles to support the City of New Orleans’ emergency preparedness and response efforts.

These vehicles strengthen our ability to operate during emergencies when flooded or difficult-to-access roadways can limit traditional vehicles, helping us better support response operations during many weather emergencies!

Preparedness is a shared effort, and partnerships like this help ensure New Orleans has the resources and capabilities needed when our community needs them most.

Twenty-one years later, we honor the lives lost, the City forever changed, and the strength and resilience of all who endured, returned, and rebuilt.

As we remember Katrina, we carry forward its lessons and remain committed to a safer, stronger, and more prepared New Orleans.
