After 16 years with the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department, including the last nine leading its Fire and Life Safety Education program, Kris Siegert has retired, leaving behind a program that has expanded far beyond the traditional classroom.

🍃 Have yard waste to ? Mt. Lebanon’s Yard Waste Drop-Off is Saturday, Sept. 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the golf course maintenance facility on Pine Avenue.

Accepted items include leaves and garden residue in recyclable leaf bags, small twigs, shrubs, brush and branches under 3 feet.

Please do not bring grass clippings, stones, soil, stumps, large limbs or plastic bags.

Mt. Lebanon Police Chief Jason Haberman (at right), pictured here with Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday, at a news conference this morning to discuss successful efforts to curb organized retail theft over the last two years. In addition to his position with Mt. Lebanon, Haberman is also president of the Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association.

Scams may change, but the goal doesn't: to separate victims from their hard-earned money.

“We have made this our number one priority,” Mt. Lebanon Police Department Chief Jason Haberman said. “Literally a generation of wealth is being taken right before our eyes.”

Mt. Lebanon Police Department Classic Car Show is Sunday, September 13! Come out for special cars, vendors and more!

The rain-or-shine event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Washington Road will be closed from Cedar Blvd. to Lebanon Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The North Garage will be open, and South Garage will be open with an alternative entrance (off Florida Avenue).
