We were glad to join the Police Academy graduates, Build N Beyond trainees and our partners at Clinton County for two special events at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at at Clinton Community College. 🌎 The eyes of the aviation world are on Clinton County.

On August 12, the world’s largest battery-electric aircraft completed its historic first flight from Plattsburgh International Airport, putting Clinton County, New York at the center of a major milestone in electric aviation.

Heart Aerospace's full-scale X1 demonstrator:
⚡ Flew entirely on battery power
✈️ Completed a 27-minute piloted flight
📈 Reached 1,100 feet above ground level
🔋 Demonstrated more than one megawatt of electric propulsion
💵 Used approximately $5 worth of electricity during the flight

This achievement is about more than one historic flight. It demonstrates what Plattsburgh International Airport and Clinton County can offer aviation and transportation innovators: world-class infrastructure, room to grow, a skilled workforce and strategic access to U.S. and Canadian markets.

History flew here. What takes off next could be even bigger.
