Itโ€™s official! EWASTE+ electronics recycling is now available at the Town of Plattsburgh Town Hall!

Itโ€™s a convenient and environmentally responsible way to get rid of old electronics collecting dust around your home.

๐๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” Town of Plattsburgh residents will be have the opportunity to drop off small electronics for recycling Monday through Friday, during regular business hours from 8:00am-4:00pm.

Small electronics can be placed in the collection box located in the main lobby of Town Hall.

Have a larger electronic item to recycle?

Residents are asked to call ahead and make an appointment. Larger items will be accepted by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Town of Plattsburgh, along with Precision Infrastructure Management, is conducting a Sidewalk Assessment to help prioritize sidewalk repairs and improvements throughout the Town.

This assessment will help us develop a long-term approach to sidewalk maintenance and replacement.

Teams will be walking sidewalks throughout the Town of Plattsburgh, taking inventory, assessing conditions, and collecting information to begin mapping all Town sidewalks.

Once the assessment begins, weโ€™ll keep residents updated. You may see some new faces out and about snapping photos, taking measurements, and checking out our sidewalks.

The Town of Plattsburgh is currently reviewing an application from Verizon Wireless to construct a new wireless communications facility off Pleasant Ridge Road.

As part of this review, a visual assessment (โ€œballoon testโ€) will be conducted to help residents understand how the proposed tower may look in the area.

During the test, a weather balloon will be flown at the proposed tower height (approximately 150 feet) to simulate visibility from surrounding areas.

Visitors may once again park in the North Side lot and use the main entrance doors when visiting Town Hall.

As we continue with our accessibility improvements, the main entrance doors are scheduled to be replaced in September. We will provide another update as that work gets closer and let everyone know of any temporary changes to access at that time.
