Through deeply personal stories, Building Hope explores the challenges faced by unhoused individuals and families, while highlighting the hope that emerges when communities come together to create solutions.

Congrats to newly appointed Spurwink Board Member and Volunteer Ashley Boyle on receiving this well deserved award!

At our annual Employee Recognition Night this month, we announced the winner of the M. Jane Irving Award. This award demonstrates the incredible qualities that M. Jane Irving embodied in her 35-year career with Bangor Savings Bank. Among those qualities are genuine interest and commitment to the Bank, a strong sense of loyalty towards the organization, coworkers, and customers, a constant, high degree of integrity both professionally and personally, and demonstrated selflessness in servicing other people, organizations, and the community.

Spurwink is hiring for our soon-to-open Lewiston Crisis Center, which offers a warm, welcoming environment for individuals age 14+ experiencing urgent behavioral health needs. As an alternative to hospitalization or law enforcement intervention, we provide stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment—open 24/7, 365 days a year, promoting safety, dignity, and recovery.

Spurwink's CBHH Case Management program in Cumberland County has immediate openings and is now accepting referrals. Our BHH program offers a team-based approach to case management to youth ages 0-20 with MaineCare and a behavioral health diagnosis, intellectual disability, or autism spectrum disorder.
