What a blast! ⛳️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the very first Mini Golf for Families. It was a joy to see families, friends, neighbors, and supporters come together for an evening of fun, connection, and community in support of children and families impacted by foster care.

A special thank you to our sponsors for helping bring this event to life, our volunteers who made the evening run smoothly, and everyone who purchased tickets, raffle entries, wine, or made a gift. Your support helps create opportunities for connection, healing, and belonging for the families we serve.

We had so much fun—and we’re already looking forward to next year!

This week at The Family Room families (3 moms and 6 kids) spent 13 hours together.

Time is the single greatest predictor of reunification. Both in the short term (time together each week) and long term (when a child returns home)

When most people think about reunification, they think about the day a child safely returns home.

And that day matters.

But reunification is also happening in the moments along the way—during visits, conversations, shared meals, and time spent together.

Every opportunity to connect strengthens bonds, builds trust, and moves families forward.

This Family Reunification Month, we’re celebrating the journey home and every moment that helps families get there.

It’s moments like this—a mom getting to witness her baby crawl for the very first time—that remind us why The Core, our monthly giving community matters.

For families navigating foster care these milestones can so easily be missed. But month after month, The Core provides the consistent support that creates time and space for families to connect, heal, and move forward together.

Today, because of that support, a mom got to experience a moment she’ll never forget.
These are the moments that change everything. ❤️

“It’s more than a program, it’s a place where families find their way back to each other.”

This reflection from one of our Social Work interns captures so much of what makes The Family Room special.

Here, families experiencing foster care separation are met with warmth, dignity, and community. Parents and children have space to share meals, play, laugh, rebuild trust, and simply be together.

That is the heart of Bringing Families Home.

We’re raising $20,000 to sustain this work for families — and right now, every gift goes twice as far through a $5,000 matching gift.

Help us unlock the full match and keep creating spaces where families can reconnect and heal.

June is Family Reunification Month.

At The Family Room, we believe every parent and every child is inherently valuable — always worthy of dignity, healing, and opportunity.

Healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in connection: through safe, consistent relationships and ordinary moments of togetherness.

Meals around the table. Books read side by side. Walks to the park. Time for parents and children to simply be together.

That’s why this work matters.

Through Bringing Families Home, we’re raising $20,000 to sustain this work for families experiencing foster care separation. And right now, every gift goes twice as far through a $5,000 matching gift.

Help us create spaces where families can reconnect, heal, and move forward together.

What $20,000 makes possible

Two months of Family Time, parenting support, and everyday moments of connection — from family dinners around the table to bubbles, chalk, and walks to the park.

Big news for the final stretch of Bringing Families Home:

A generous donor has pledged a $5,000 matching gift to help us reach our campaign goal and sustain family connection.

That means every gift given now through Father’s Day will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

And monthly gifts go even further.

One-time gifts and new monthly gifts both count toward the match. New monthly gifts to The Core will be matched each month through the end of 2026 — helping provide steady, sustainable support for families long after this campaign ends.

A $100/month gift becomes $200/month for families.

Your gift helps sustain warm meals, welcoming spaces, parenting support, and extended time together for families experiencing foster care.

Every gift matters. And right now, every gift goes twice as far.

Give today or join The Core
