đźš’ Meet one of the newest first responders with the Pratt City Fire Department, Kassi Staats!!
A lifelong Kansan originally from Eureka, she loves being part of small-town communities. She grew up with five siblings, including a twin brother, and was homeschooled during her high school years.
She recently married her best friend, Kenneth, whom many know as Eli or Bubba! ❤️ She graduated from Sterling College with a degree in business marketing and completed Hutchinson Community College’s Fire Academy.
Her interest in firefighting began with her dad, who was a firefighter. Growing up around the fire service sparked her curiosity, but getting involved helped her discover her own passion for the physical, hands on work and, most of all, helping people and making a difference in her community.
She has also volunteered to participate in mock calls with our new 911 trainees, helping them build confidence and practice their call-taking skills. We appreciate her willingness to support and encourage our newest dispatchers! 🎧📞
