The fireworks show is in danger of being cancelled due to the company not having enough help. If anyone 21+ would like to earn some money and get up close and personal with the fireworks show reach out to Liz but 1pm tomorrow at (419) 979-7496. At 5:05am this morning, units were dispatched for a vehicle stuck in the water on State Highway 203 north of the village. Battle Run members located the driver and removed them with assistance from Pleasant Township Fire Department, Northern Union County Fire and EMS District Marion County Sheriff's Office Marion,OH and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Do no drive into high water. This vehicle drove around numerous road closed barriers and put first responders in an unnecessary and dangerous situation. 12 inches of water can float a vehicle off the roadway.

Sometimes what starts as an emergency ends in the best possible way and provides some laughs. This evening we responded to a report of an elderly male yelling for help in the woods. In what is likely a first for us, the male needing help turned out to be the neighbor’s extremely vocal goat. We are thakful for neighbors looking out for each other and for the outcome. No people were injured, the goat is fine, and the neighborhood can rest easy knowing we’re always happy to answer the call — even when it’s just a baa-d situation. 🐐 🚑

🎇WE COULD'NT JUST CHOOSE 1 DESIGN! 🗽

We had so many great designs submitted for our 2026 Prospect 4th of July T-Shirt Design Contest that we had a hard time choosing just 1 design.

So, this year the design for our Department Personnel 4th of July T-shirts was designed by Jennifer Rudd! We are so thankful for the creativity of the members of our community!

If you see one of your BRFD members wearing this design at the 4th of July, please stop and say hi!

T-SHIRTS ARE $27 PER SHIRT. SIZES AS - AXL, YS - YL
A2XL - A4XL ARE $30 PER SHIRT.

In order to receive your shirt, you must submit payment by June 5th, 2026, in order for your shirt to be on the order form. If payment is not received by that date, you will not receive a t-shirt. There will not be additional shirts for sale after this date.

Pick-up times will be announced in June on Facebook. Each person who purchases a shirt will also be texted with pick-up information.

You can submit payment in one of the following ways:

2. Cash or Check - Must be mailed to P.O. Box 241, Prospect, OH 43342. Please include name of buyer on envelope.
