What’s going on at the DaVinci Center? 🍀
Our seniors had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by decorating flower pots to grow their spring flowers! 🌸 It was a fun and creative way to welcome the new season.

🧥❄️ Children’s Winter Coat Distribution ❄️🧥

The DaVinci Center, in partnership with the Knights of Columbus – Coats for Kids, is hosting a Children’s Winter Coat Distribution to help keep our community’s children warm.

📍 Until supplies last

👉 Children must be present to receive a coat.

Due to the low number of tenants at Charles Place using the extended warming center hours, we have decided to suspend the extended hours at this time.

There are several factors and mixed communications surrounding the situation. Based on our direct observations during our seniors' lunch program, we have noted the effects of cold weather on seniors.

We will continue to monitor community needs and adjust services as appropriate.

🚨 Warming Center Activated 🚨

The DaVinci Center has been activated as a warming center for residents of Charles Place and Hagan Manor until 8:00 PM tonight.

We will be providing a warm meal and hot drinks in a safe, welcoming space. ❤️☕🍲

📢 DaVinci Center – Now Hiring!

We’re seeking a Mental Health Clinical Consultant (Part-Time) to lead a weekly 1-hour group counseling session for senior citizens, with 30 minutes of prep time each week. This group focuses on emotional support, coping strategies, and fostering social connections among older adults in our community.

🧓 Population: Seniors (60+)
🗓 Schedule: 1 hour session + 30 min prep/week
📍 Location: Providence, RI

Ideal candidates:
✔ Licensed mental health professional (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, or similar)
✔ Experience facilitating group counseling
✔ Experience with older adults is a plus

This is a great opportunity for clinicians who are passionate about community-based mental health and improving the quality of life for older adults.
