Inbound will travel the regular route, right on Bosworth St., left on Aleppo St., right onto Manton Ave.

Outbound is on the regular route.

Route 56 will be on detour till 5PM due to construction.

Outbound will travel the regular route to Chalkstone Ave. and Rosebank Ave., right on Rosebank Ave., left on Pleasant Valley Pkwy., left on River Ave., right on to Chalkstone ave., and resume regular route.

Inbound on the reverse.

Route 76 is on detour due to construction.

Outbound will travel the regular route, turn right on Newport Ave., left on Suffolk Ave., left on Liverpool Ave., right on Central Ave.

SERVICE ALERT: RIPTA will run a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Victory Day, Monday, August 10, 2026. All RIPTA Offices, except for the Customer Service Kiosk in the Newport Transportation Center, will be closed.

Flex Service
Flex Service will not be available on Monday, except for Route 203 (URI/Narragansett/South Kingstown), which will run on the Sunday schedule. The Flex Service reservation line (1-877-906-FLEX) will not be staffed on Monday.

RIde Paratransit Program
On Monday, August 10, 2026, the RIde Program will operate on a holiday schedule. The RIde Program does not provide standing order trips (recurring service) on RIPTA holidays. If you need a ride on the holiday, please call RIde (401-461-9760) no earlier than one week before the holiday to schedule or confirm your trip. Trips scheduled more than one week in advance of a holiday, including standing orders, will automatically be canceled. The RIde reservation line will be staffed on Monday.

Routes 64 and 68 are on detour due to a downed tree branch on Second St.

Inbound trips will not service Second St. Buses will use Farewell St. to America's Cup Ave. and then resume the regular route.

Outbound trips will operate on the regular route.

Dominican Parade: Sunday, August 9
Route 6 and the R-Line will be on detour from 8am to 1pm.

R-Line Inbound will travel regular route to Broad and Eddy Streets, turn right onto Eddy St., left onto Potters Ave., right onto Broad St. and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel regular route to Broad St. and Potters Ave. turn left onto Potters, right onto Eddy St. through to Broad St. and then resume regular route.

Route 6 Inbound trips will leave Broad City line, turn right onto Eddy St., left onto Thurbers Ave., right onto Prairie Ave. and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel regular route to Prairie and Thurber Avenues, left onto Thurbers Ave., right onto Eddy St. through to Broad City line. Route 6 Outbound will not service the Zoo; Outbound trips will end at the Broad St. Terminus.

Flex On Demand is making it easier to get around Northern Aquidneck Island!

Last week, RIPTA joined RI State Senator Linda Ujifusa, District 11, Conley Wake, and community members for a Flex On Demand field trip from the Common Fence Point Arts, Wellness, and Community Center to the Portsmouth Senior Center, highlighting how this on-demand service connects people to the places they need to go.
