As the remnants of Hurricane Isaias continue to bring heavy rainfall to our area, flows on the New River are expected to be impacted. Appalachian Power is monitoring inflows and will make operational adjustments as necessary which could impact downstream flows.

Now is the time for shoreline property owners to secure watercraft and floating docks. People who live and recreate downstream of Claytor Dam should be aware water levels could rise rapidly and fluctuate throughout the coming days.

We encourage you to visit http://ms.spr.ly/6187aqSVz for real-time water levels.
