May 31 2100
Norfolk & Southern Rail Road will have all three of the downtown Pulaski crossings blocked for the next two to four hours while a safety check is completed of their train.
Dora Highway is the primary route to go from one side of town to the other.
There are not hazards to the community at this time. An update will be provided on this post.

Use caution along Farris Mines Road in Allisonia and Max Creek in Hiwassee. These areas are experiencing or have experienced water across the road tonight.
Heavy rain fell across this area along with heavy rain to our south is creating minor flooding.
Don’t attempt to drive through flooded roads.
“Turn around don’t drown”

During Pulaski County High School’s Career Technical Student signing, Wyatt Tolbert signed with Pulaski County Emergency Management.
Wyatt is now employed with our Wildfire Mitigation Module.
Wyatt is the first to have completed his wildland fire fighting classes and come to work with us straight out of High School.
Congratulations Wyatt, welcome aboard.

⚠️Heads up if traveling around the Town of Pulaski this Saturday afternoon May 16th.

⚠️Be ready for road closures and traffic pattern changes THIS SATURDAY, May 16th for Music and Merchants! ⚠️

➡️The block of Main Street from Jefferson to Washington and adjacent alleyways, highlighted in RED, will be CLOSED from around 9:00AM until MIDNIGHT/12:00AM.⬅️

⏩️The intersection of Jefferson and Main Street, marked in ORANGE, will be closed from around 3:00PM until around 10:00PM.
Barricades will be placed at the ends of every closure, as indicated by the YELLOW on the map.⏪️

❗️Please have ALL VEHICLES moved from Main Street no later than 9:00AM Saturday morning. Any unauthorized vehicles remaining after the road closure are subject to towing.❗️
