The University of Rochester has secured the first round of National Science Foundation (NSF) funding, up to $13.7 million, to push the NSF OPAL project into its final design phase, a major step toward building the world's most powerful laser system. New Nazareth University President Maureen Finney, the first female physician assistant to lead a U.S. university, is deepening that partnership between Naz and . New programs in Physician Assistant studies, School Psychology, and Business and AI are already meeting workforce demand across the region, with a Nurse Practitioner program and a Social Work doctorate on the horizon.
