This week, our club member, Clianda Florence, suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of her beloved mother, Felicia Florence, on Monday.

Ms. Florence’s presence as a mother, as well as her meaningful work in the field of education, touched the lives of many and leaves behind a lasting legacy. Her passing has left many hearts heavy with grief as we remember her life, her contributions, and the impact she made on those around her.

The Black Republican Club of Rochester extends our deepest condolences to Clianda and the entire Florence family. We pray that they find strength, comfort, healing, and peace as they navigate this difficult time and continue to mourn the loss of their beloved mother and family member.

May Ms. Felicia Florence rest in eternal peace.

May we pause today not simply to remember September 11, 2001, but to honor every life that was lost, every family forever changed, and every first responder who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Let us remember the firefighters, police officers, emergency workers, military personnel, WTC employees, airline passengers, Pentagon personnel, and innocent civilians whose lives were taken that day.

Twenty five years later, questions surrounding the attacks, including the events at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, continue to be examined and debated. Seeking truth, accountability, and understanding should never diminish our respect for those who lost their lives.

We owe it to those who were lost, and to the generations that follow, to remember the sacrifice, learn from the past, and remain vigilant in protecting the freedoms and principles that make America worth defending.

Take a moment today. Say a prayer. Remember a name. Honor a life.

September 11, 2001 — We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Orlando Rivera, candidate for the New York State Senate, has an important message about school choice and the longstanding challenges facing parents in our inner cities, as well as the ongoing issues within our public school system.

This year, we have choices. We have an opportunity to ask difficult questions, demand better results, and look for real solutions that put parents and students first.

It’s time to move beyond the same old answers and start demanding better options for our communities. School choice should be about giving parents a voice and giving every child the opportunity to succeed.

We’ll be discussing issues at the local, state, and federal levels, including:

• Education & school choice
• Public safety & crime
• Homeownership & economic opportunity
• Small business & entrepreneurship
• Government accountability
• Family and community development
• And other issues shaping the future of Rochester, New York, and America

This isn't just about politics. It’s about people, policy, and the future of our communities.

📢 Rochester Police Locust Club has endorsed Saritha Komatireddy in her campaign for New York State Attorney General against Letitia James.

As public safety continues to be a major issue, it is encouraging to see Rochester police officers supporting the need for meaningful reform of state policies that have adversely affected families and communities throughout Rochester.

Congratulations, Saritha, on receiving one of your latest endorsements.

I was proud to stand with law enforcement in Western New York as I accepted the endorsements of the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association and the Rochester Police Locust Club. These are the men and women who put their lives on the line for our communities every single day.

Thank you for the endorsements.
