What a wonderful night we just had unveiling the Richmond Futch Jr. mural! A heartfelt thank you goes out to Chloe Smith Illustration, the Genesee Valley Council of the Arts, Richmond's family and friends, Mayor Malik Evans, and our patrons for making this moment so special! Chloe's painting of her friend Richmond (1950-2025) magnificently depicts his artistry and his kind heart. It was so nice seeing so many people who share Richmond's love of this community celebrate him and the beauty he gave to all of us.

Big congratulations go to all these great libraries and individuals! Extra congratulations go out to our Rochester Public Library teammates Brie Harrison, Issac Lewis, and April MCloud. Brie has done countless amazing things for the Arnett Branch and all of RPL and we can't list them all here but we can't resist thanking her for figuring out a way we could offer free faxing service to our patrons. If you ever visit the Frederick Douglass Community Library you will likely see Issac doing tons of cool stuff with kids. April has provided wonderful library services to our Arnett patrons both in our building and at outreach events throughout the 19th Ward. Thank you so much Rochester Regional Library Council for honoring these fine folk and organizations!
