Rita Camacho, the new executive director of United Way of Chaves County, said she believes her varied experience will serve her well in her new position.

United Way of Chaves County is seeking an Executive Director.

-An academic degree or extensive experience in public administration, community planning, or social services is required.
-Fund-raising experience would be very helpful in this position.
-The Executive Director will provide leadership in developing financial resources and in identifying and responding to community priorities in health and human services.
-The Executive Director maintains accountability for the total operational and fiscal integrity of the organization.
-The Executive Director is required to establish and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, grantee agencies, corporate executives, local governmental leaders, other funding organizations, and representatives of other United Way organizations.

This is a full time position (40 hours per week)

The state of New Mexico has opened a hotline for Chaves County residents to ask questions and learn about available resources in the aftermath of record flooding.

Residents can call the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHSEM) disaster response and recovery call center at 1-833-663-4736. The hotline will be available 24/7 until further notice.
