The Town of Sabattus is hiring!

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-service-focused individual to join our Municipal Office team in a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working Monday through Thursday.

That means full-time hours with Fridays off!

This position will ultimately serve as the Planning Board Secretary and Front Office Assistant, while also assisting with other municipal office responsibilities as needed.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in:

• TRIO software
• MOSES
• Motor vehicle registrations
• Tax billing and tax collection
• Cash handling and reconciliation
• Municipal office procedures
• Planning Board support and meeting minutes
• Treasurer-related duties

Experience in other areas of municipal government is a strong plus.

We are looking for someone who is:

Nominations forms are available NOW! They must be returned by September 2, 2026, at 4:00PM with a minimum of 25 signatures of Sabattus registered voters to qualify for the November ballot.

For those of you who didn't know, our Town Clerk loves elections. Whether it's registering new voters, educating new and seasoned voters, or making sure our elections are properly run, he's always got elections on the brain!

Back in April, he had the chance to go to Washington, D.C. with other election officials from around the country to talk about election infrastructure with members of Congress and their staff. The Summer edition of Counted Magazine just came out and featured an article about the trip and our Town Clerk can be spotted in both accompanying photos.

The first of what we hope will be several flower beds has been added to Martin's Point Park!

This beautiful new bed at the park entrance was created and planted through the generosity of Tony and Julie Aube, who live near the park. They donated both the plants and the labor to make this project possible.

A sincere thank you to Tony and Julie for helping make the park even more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
