Tomorrow is the last day of California State Parks Week! If you’re in the Tahoe area, celebrate the history, craftsmanship and cultural significance of one of Lake Tahoe’s most iconic historic vessels – the Mercury speedboat – at this special 100th anniversary event from 10AM-2PM at Ed Z’berg Sugar Pine Point State Park.

Don’t miss out on other events on Sunday:

🚂 Donner Memorial State Park (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.) — Explore the cultural legacy of the Chinese railroad workers who helped build the First Transcontinental Railroad.
🌲 Big Basin Redwoods State Park (1 and 2 p.m.) — Guided walk focusing on the extraordinary resilience of redwood trees.

With California State Parks Week in full swing, now is the perfect time visit a state park—and you can do it entirely for free! You can check us out 😉 by checking out 😉 a California State Parks Library Pass from your local library for free day-use entry to 200+ state parks. Head to your local library with your public library card.

Over 33,000 passes have been distributed to California’s public and tribal libraries, and you could be next to explore California’s unique sites for free!

Looking for an adventure tomorrow? Check out these June 11 events:

🌾 Great Valley Grasslands State Park (8 a.m.) — Celebrate a major floodplain restoration project reconnecting the San Joaquin River to its historic floodplain and creating vital wildlife habitat.

🐦 Crystal Cove State Park (10–11:30 a.m.) — Join a guided wildlife walk and look for birds, dolphins and other coastal wildlife.

🤿 D.L. Bliss State Park (10:30–10:55 a.m.) — Tune in for a live scuba dive exploring Lake Tahoe's underwater world and legendary clarity.
