Warning!

The NWS has upgraded the storm threat for our area to a level 4 out of 5 risk. This means a greater chance for serious and very damaging storms!

There is at least a 15% we will see at least one EF2-EF3 tornado and 60% chance for EF0-EF1 tornadoes. SOFTBALL size hail and 80mph winds are possible. PLEASE make plans for these storms and know where you will seek shelter. Timelines can still change but it looks like 2-3pm and after is the most likely time.

Had a phone call with a good question.

"If I don't pay my fire dues will you respond to a medical call at my property?" (This pertains to rural not city)

If you live in the rural area and don't pay your dues here is the answer to that.

We WILL respond to all medical calls in the rural regardless of fire dues being paid or not. UNLESS we are on another major call or several others at the same time and just don't have responders available, we will ALWAYS respond.

Rural Fire Dues are for house fires, field/woods fires, farm equipment fires, things of that nature.

If you don't pay your dues and we do respond to a fire by law we could charge a fee based on trucks used and personnel on scene. There is a cap a residence can be charged but it's still way more than the one time yearly fee to be a member.

We would like to remind everyone to please be safe during these next few days. When road conditions are bad, our volunteers will be delayed in getting to the fire station and in turn will delay our response time getting to you. Please stay safe!
