Established in 1946, the San Antonio Police Officers' Association has a singular focus to represent, preserve, and protect the benefits earned through dedicated service to our community. The Association leadership are uniformed officers elected by the membership and entrusted with carrying forward the message of service and integrity to the City of San Antonio. SAPOA supports and gives back to the

San Antonio community through its 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and community outreach program, Blue Cares. The mission of Blue Cares is to provide year-round services and assistance to underprivileged, at-risk children and their families. Officer Sanchez overcame a distrust of the police in San Antonio, serving first in the military before joining SAPD.
