Since 2000, IDEA Public Schools has grown from a small school with 150 students to a national network of tuition-free, K-12 public charter schools in the United States. Currently, the network serves more than 83,000 college-bound students in 143 schools across Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Ohio. IDEA has been recognized as

a “Great Place to Work” and received national rankings on The Washington Post and U.S. IDEA remains on-track to uphold its legacy of sending 100% of its graduates to college.

As classrooms fill back up, our streets and school zones become a little busier too.

Whether you're driving to work, dropping off your own child, or simply passing through, taking a few extra moments to slow down and stay alert can make all the difference.

Every crossing guard, every school bus, and every student walking to class deserves our full attention.

Chocolate milk is back in IDEA cafeterias! It’s joining our meal lineup as an additional choice—unflavored milk will still be available at every meal, every day.

And this isn’t the chocolate milk you may remember. Today’s school chocolate milk meets updated federal nutrition standards.

Bringing it back is about more than adding another choice—it’s about listening to our students. Thank you for speaking up. We heard you, and we’re excited to bring back an option you’ve been asking for! 💛💙

Sixth grade is more than a new grade level—it's the beginning of new possibilities. As scholars step into middle school, they're challenged to think bigger, dig deeper, and discover what they're capable of.​

At IDEA, this marks the beginning of their college-preparatory experience, where every lesson helps prepare them for the opportunities ahead.​

This is where new challenges become new strengths.​
