The Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) promotes civic participation and inclusive policies that improve the lives of San Francisco’s residents, particularly immigrants, newcomers, underserved and vulnerable communities. OCEIA seeks to bridge linguistic and cultural barriers to ensure that San Francisco’s diverse residents have equal access to city services and opportunities to participate and contribute in meaningful ways to the success of the community and to the city.

Join us for a San Francisco Welcoming Week Community Block Party, hosted in partnership with many community partners, including Into The Streets SF 's Live on Larkin event and the Southeast Asian Community Center-Trung Tâm Cộng Đồng Đông Nam Á (SEACC).

This community event celebrates Vietnamese becoming a certified language under the San Francisco Language Access Ordinance, while uplifting all of our immigrant communities during Welcoming Week 2026!

When: Saturday, September 12, 12:00pm to 5:00 pm, with a special speaking program at 1:30 pm
Where: Little Saigon (Larkin St. between Eddy and O’Farrell)
