☀️ THE COOLING CENTER AT 40 PRADO IS OPEN ☀️

Due to the current Heat Advisory, CAPSLO's Prado Homeless Services Center is OPEN to provide a safe, air-conditioned space for our community.

📍 Location: 40 Prado Road, San Luis Obispo
📅 Dates: Monday October 5th through Thursday October 8th
⏰ Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Services Provided:
❄️ Cool place to rest & escape the heat
🚿 Showers, laundry services, & hygiene items
🐕 Pets welcome! We have secure outdoor kennels for vaccinated pets/ESAs, and vaccinated registered service animals are welcome inside.

(Guests must be in good standing; unenrolled guests will complete a quick, simple screening assessment upon arrival).

The County wants to hear what matters most to you—from affordable housing and homelessness services to parks, community facilities, and neighborhood improvements. Your feedback will help guide how an estimated $3 million is allocated to priorities that benefit our community.

📅 Survey closes October 13

Survey results and funding priorities will be presented to the County of San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors during a public hearing on December 8, 2026. Thank you for helping us build a stronger community.
