We need your help keeping Meals for Kids going strong this summer.

Our team is busy distributing lunch food to local children, and we're running low on some of the items that make this program possible. Right now, we especially need:

• Small boxes of cereal and instant oatmeal
• Healthy snacks
• Ready-made meals

We're also going through a lot of shopping bags. If you have clean plastic grocery bags piling up at home, we'd love to put them to good use. Just drop them off at the mini-market.

School’s out, summer’s here, and CAC’s Meals for Kids program starts Tuesday, May 26!

We’re looking for volunteers ages 16+ to help families shop for food at our Mini-Markets this summer. It’s quick, easy, and makes a big impact. Plus, only 2 volunteers are needed per shift.

Volunteer shifts:
May 26 – July 31
9:30–11:30am
11:30am–1:30pm

Locations:
North Sandy Springs & South Sandy Springs Mini-Markets

Big cheers for our CAC VITA volunteers who made the 2026 tax season a huge success!

Together, you helped return $794,965 in total refunds to the community (up 18.3%) and made a real impact across the board:
600 federal returns completed
535 clients served
$210,000 in tax prep fees saved

And behind every number is time, care, and patience from our incredible team of 41 volunteers who showed up and made it happen.

A special shoutout to our VITA Coordinator, Daniel Weiss, who helped lead and support this work all season long and keeps the program running smoothly year after year.

School’s almost out for summer, but hunger doesn’t take a break. Through CAC Cares for Kids, our Meals for Kids program is stepping in to help local children have access to meals all summer long, and we’d love your help.

There are a few easy ways to pitch in:

Donate funds:
$35 provides one child with five kid-friendly lunches each week throughout the summer.

Breakfast: breakfast cereal, instant oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, breakfast bars

Easy Meals: ramen, mac & cheese, shelf-stable microwave meals, microwavable rice packets
Staples: peanut butter & jelly, canned meat (chicken, tuna, Vienna sausage), shelf-stable milk, juice boxes
