Kick off summer reading with a special craft for all ages. This year's summer reading theme is Plant a Seed, Read! Decorate a clay pot and then plant seeds in the pot from the Sandy Seed Library.

Miss Monica will read books and we will sing songs and learn rhymes together. Todos Juntos will provide a craft. Bring your own comfy blanket, pillow, or lawn chair to sit on.

Summer Reading 2026!

This year’s theme, “Plant a Seed, Read,” invites readers of all ages to grow their imaginations all summer long. Join the fun at the Sandy and Hoodland Public Library, with reading programs for infants and toddlers, kids, teens, and adults—there’s something for everyone!

Starting June 1, stop by the library to pick up your reading log, or track your reading online using the Beanstack app. Complete your reading log and return it by August 31 to earn prizes!

Plant a seed, read, and watch your love of reading bloom!
