🎨 A Story of Beauty, Resilience & Renewal

Join us at Concern America’s 19th Annual Grow a Global Heart Auction and bid on several great items, including these four beautiful watercolor paintings from Altadena artist Keni Arts, part of his Beauty for Ashes series.

These paintings depict the Community Church and Senior Center in Altadena, both places burned in the 2025 Eaton Fire. Through his art, Keni explores how beauty can emerge from destruction, honoring what was lost while reflecting on resilience and renewal.

✨ Come see these powerful pieces and support Concern America’s mission!

Standing with Colombia

Thank you to everyone who has reached out following Monday’s earthquake. We are grateful to share that our team and the communities we work with are safe, with only minor damage to our teaching clinic.

We are heartbroken by the loss of life and devastation in other parts of the region. The Dominican Sisters of Charity of the Presentation, who we work closely with, are already providing food and shelter to those most affected and will continue supporting communities in the weeks and months ahead.

💛 Financial support is the greatest need right now. You can donate through Concern and specify “Colombia Earthquake Support.” All designated funds will go directly to the Sisters’ relief efforts.

Thank you for keeping Colombia in your global hearts. 🇨🇴❤️

✨ Some of the most meaningful moments at Concern America happen when training becomes confidence and confidence becomes compassionate care. ❤️

When an elderly woman suffered a serious fall two newly trained health promoters stepped forward to perform their very first suturing procedure. Guided by their training, supported by one another, and trusted by their community, they provided the care she needed. 🩺🤝

Their story is a powerful reminder of what's possible when local leaders are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to care for their own communities. 🌎💙 Together, they're building healthier, stronger futures one act of compassion at a time.

As we celebrate Indigenous People’s Day, we renew our commitment to supporting efforts to protect Indigenous rights, languages, cultures, and traditions for generations to come.

At Concern, we are deeply grateful to work alongside Indigenous communities whose knowledge, traditions, and leadership continue to inspire and guide our shared work toward health, self-sufficiency, and justice.

Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and help build a future where Indigenous communities continue to thrive.
