A message from our founders:

For fifteen years, the heart of Elohee has been beating at the Thanksgiving House, where people have gathered to rest, reconnect, and remember their belonging to the natural world.

Ten years ago this month, that vision expanded onto Bald Mountain, creating a sanctuary intentionally rooted in stillness, beauty, community, and care for the Earth.

Founded from a desire to offer a place where people could slow down, heal, learn, and awaken a deeper relationship with themselves and the living world around them, Elohee has become far more than a retreat center. It is an ever-widening circle of facilitators, guests, volunteers, and staff whose presence, wisdom, and generosity continue to shape the spirit of this land. As we celebrate these milestones, we honor everyone who has walked these trails, shared meals around these tables, and helped nurture the beautiful, evolving community that Elohee is today.
