RF helps children with special needs by funding adaptive equipment, assistive technology & therapies.

The Robbie Foundation is dedicated to assisting children with developmental disabilities* (including, but not limited to physical disabilities, speech and language delays, sensory integrated disorders, cerebral palsy, brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation). We serve children between the ages of birth and 20 years residing in the state of Maine. Our primary mission is to fund adaptive equipment, assistive technology, therapy treatment and/or any necessary item not covered by insurance. By providing such services, our hope is to improve the quality of life for children with special needs.

We’re looking for costumes with creativity, personality, and a whole lot of passion. Whether your child has been planning their costume since July or decided five minutes before trick-or-treating, we want to see it!

DanceAbility welcomes children ages 7–12 with and without disabilities, creating a space where every child can participate and enjoy the joy of movement.

Hippotherapy is a form of therapy that uses the movement of a horse as part of a child’s individualized treatment plan.🐴

The horse’s rhythmic movement provides sensory and physical input that can help children develop postural control, balance, and coordination.

Depending on the child’s needs, hippotherapy may support physical, occupational, or speech therapy goals. For some children, it can also make therapy more engaging and motivating. ☺️

When your child outgrows something they rely on every day, what happens when replacing it just isn’t financially possible?

For families of children with disabilities, essential equipment can be expensive and children don’t stop growing just because the equipment is costly. We know how challenging these moments can be. ❤
