If Walter ever checked on you, encouraged you, gave you advice, or pulled you into the circle…

This call is for you!

We’re bringing the fathers back together to Reconnect. Reminisce. Recommit.

Today marks one year since his passing, and his impact lives on through the many men of the Community and beyond!

If you were ever part of Community Fathers, whether you mentored, participated, volunteered, or simply shared space, we want to see you.

Come eat with us.
Come share stories.
Come reconnect and help shape the next chapter of Community Fathers.

Once a father, always a father!

Happening tonight!

The Ujamaa Business Mixer is here come connect with local businesses, organizations, families, and community builders.

Food. Culture. Networking with purpose.
Let’s circulate our dollars and raise the spirit of Ujamaa.

🖤❤️💚

Tomorrow is the night!

Join us for our Ujamaa Business Mixer as we come together to celebrate cooperative economics, supporting our own, building together, and strengthening our community through connection.

We’re excited to share that food will be provided by two incredible Capital Region businesses:

Umana Yana (Albany)
A Black woman-owned restaurant creating a true meeting place for the people through Afro-Caribbean and Asian-Caribbean fusion cuisine.

Soulicious (Schenectady)
A family-owned favorite serving up soul food and Caribbean comfort food with love and flavor.

This gathering is for everyone, families, entrepreneurs, local businesses and organizations who believe in the spirit of Ujamaa, owning our own, circulating our dollars, and growing collectively.

Come celebrate.
Come network.
Come build with us.

🖤❤️💚

Today marks the first day of Kwanzaa, and we’re excited to celebrate alongside the Capital Region Kwanzaa Coalition for a full week of reflection, culture, and community, hosted by different organizations across the region, beginning today!

Each night honors one of the Nguzo Saba principles and reminds us of the values that ground us, guide us, and keep us connected.

We especially look forward to gathering on Monday, December 29 as Community Fathers hosts a celebration of Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics). A night focused on owning our own stores, doing business together, and moving beyond the one-person hustle into collective power.

Come celebrate.
Come connect.
Come build with us.

🖤❤️💚

Seeing dads, uncles, grandfathers, and father figures show up for “Dad Take Your Child to School Day” reminds us why we do this work.

You showed up. You set the tone. You let our youth see what community looks like when fathers lead.

We honor you. 💪🏾

Fellas, TOMORROW is our day!

The I Am Father Festival kicks off , Saturday, August 9 at 1PM in Jerry Burrell Park.

This year’s theme is We Are Dreamers, a reminder that no matter where we are in life, it’s never too late to dream again.

We’ll have real conversations, free food, amazing vendors, and resources for fathers and families. This is about building each other up, sharing what we’ve learned, and making sure no man walks alone in his journey.

Bring your kids. Bring your friends. Bring your whole family. Let’s show up for each other the way we’re meant to.

I am. We are. Father.
