From greenhouse to harvest! 🧄🌱

This year's garlic harvest is in, and we're thankful for everyone who made it possible. Thanks to the generosity of our friends and supporters, City Mission residents had the opportunity to plant, care for, and harvest this crop together alongside staff.

Every harvest represents more than fresh food—it reflects the value of meaningful work, new skills, and the opportunity to grow. Thank you for helping make moments like this possible.

This July, we celebrated 10 graduates of our Bridges to Freedom Life Skills & Discipleship Program! 🎉

We are so proud of each of these men and all they have accomplished. As they begin this next chapter, we pray God's continued guidance and blessing over their lives.

Putting on a brand-new t-shirt or a clean pair of underwear may seem like a small thing, but for someone experiencing homelessness, it can mean so much more. ❤️

Last week, our friends at Broadview Federal Credit Union stopped by with an incredible donation of 31 boxes and large bags filled with essential items, including soap, underwear, t-shirts, socks, and more.

These everyday necessities provide comfort, dignity, and a reminder that someone cares. Every item shared is an opportunity to extend hope to a neighbor in need.

Thank you, Broadview, for your generosity and for helping make hope tangible for the men, women, and children we serve. 💙

🥬💚 We’re grateful to our friends at Faith Baptist Church for recently presenting City Mission with a Certificate of Appreciation!

Through our partnership, 100+ bags of fresh lettuce each week help stock Faith Baptist’s food pantry, providing fresh, nutritious food to individuals and families in our community. Their certificate included the verse, “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18. What a beautiful reflection of the way they faithfully serve others.

👟 Every child deserves to start the school year with confidence.

A new pair of sneakers may seem like a small thing, but for many local children, it provides comfort, confidence, and one less worry as they head back to the classroom.

That's why we're collecting new sneakers for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade through July 31! Your donation will help equip local children and families with an essential item they need for the upcoming school year.

A clean pair of underwear may seem like a small thing, but for someone facing homelessness or hardship, it can make a world of difference.

Right now, our Clothing Room is especially in need of:
🩲 Men's underwear (Medium & Large)
🩲 Women's underwear (Medium & Large)

Your generosity helps provide more than clothing—it helps restore comfort, confidence, and dignity to men and women in our community.

Donations of new, unopened underwear can be dropped off at our Administration Building (425 Hamilton Street) Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., or placed in any of our Red Box donation locations.
