The Children's Career Fair is coming soon, and we need vendors! πŸ”§πŸ’‰πŸ’ΌπŸŽ¬πŸ—ž

πŸ’‘Guests from various fields will share their experiences with children, providing children with a relatable link to the real world, expertise, and concrete examples of how academics relate to future educational and occupational opportunities.

β˜€WHY JOIN US?
To provide children the opportunity, at a young age, to learn about career paths in order to open their world to many possibilities.
Children of all ages should be given the opportunity to start thinking about their future. Outreach's Children's Career Fair may be the first step for a child to start to see their interests and talents in a profession that could become a real job. Professions for Parents will be available as well!

SNAP helps PA children and families access the food they need to grow and thrive. 🍎

Since September 2025, when H.R. 1 changes to SNAP took effect, more than 65,000 fewer PA children are enrolled in SNAP, a 9% decrease.

We’re partnering with advocates to hear directly from families impacted by recent SNAP changes. Your experiences can help policymakers understand what families are facing and how SNAP can better support communities across Pennsylvania.

If you receive SNAP benefits, share your story by completing the survey:

Outreach is excited to introduce Shannon Mills, our new Development Associate. Welcome, Shannon, to the team!

Shannon is a true neighbor in every sense of the word. A NEPA native, she studied Anthropology at Drew University, where her passion for building community took root and never let go. That same drive led her to a career in college admissions before finding her perfect fit here at Outreach Center for Community Resources this past April.

With a deep love for the region she calls home and a family firmly rooted here, Shannon is personally invested in this community's well-being. Her background in working with people at pivotal life moments, combined with her belief in the power of connection and opportunity, makes her a wonderful addition to our Development team.

Please join us in welcoming Shannon as she helps carry our mission forward and strengthen the community she has always been proud to call home!

What a fun way to end the work day! 🐐 Shannon and Liz from our Development team spent some time with our friends at Homebound Health Services Inc., and yes, that included goat yoga AND feeding baby goats water from a bottle. 🍼 They made some very tiny new friends.

We're so grateful for community partners who make this work fun and meaningful. Thank you, Homebound Health, for having us! πŸ’š
