Kosierowski was elected to serve the people of the 114th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives following a special election in March 2019, becoming the first woman to represent Lackawanna County in the General Assembly in more than 50 years. Kosierowski has spent her professional life in the health care sector working as a registered nurse. For more than 25 years, she h

elped patients live long and healthy lives, while also witnessing families struggle to afford quality health care. As a mother who has raised a survivor of a devastating leukemia diagnosis, she knows firsthand the hardship that too many families face. As state representative, Kosierowski's legislative priorities include preserving and enhancing health care services for all. She will work to preserve the state's Children Health Insurance Program, expand Medicaid access and protect those with pre-existing conditions from higher insurance premiums. She also plans to take steps to address the burden of school property taxes, as well as support efforts to impose a tax on natural-gas extractions and to close legal loopholes that allow multi-state corporations to pay lower income taxes. Kosierowski is committed to focusing on the needs of her constituents through assistance provided by her office and through community outreach. She will work with members of both parties to find common ground that benefits the local area and communities across Pennsylvania. Kosierowski is honored to serve the residents in the 114th District. She is guided by a deep desire to improve the lives of every man, woman and child to make communities a better place to live, to work and to raise a family.

I was proud to join Regional Hospital of Scranton and Moses Taylor Hospital for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating an exciting new chapter for healthcare in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
As a nurse and state representative, I know how important it is for our communities to have access to high-quality, innovative care close to home. The continued investment in expanded services, physician recruitment, advanced medical therapies, and cardiovascular excellence is an encouraging step forward.
I also want to congratulate Patrick D. Conaboy, M.D., on becoming CEO of Regional Hospital of Scranton. I look forward to seeing all that this next chapter brings.

Saturday was an especially meaningful day in Clarks Summit as I had the honor of speaking at the inaugural Clarks Summit Goes Pink race. 💗

Standing alongside so many survivors, fighters, families, friends, and supporters was incredibly powerful. Breast cancer touches far too many lives, and events like this remind us that no one has to face it alone.
I am grateful to the organizers, volunteers, participants, sponsors, and everyone who came together to make this inaugural event such a success. Your support, compassion, and strength mean more than you know.

As I continue my own journey, I am reminded every day of the importance of early detection, community, and hope.

Thank you, Clarks Summit, for showing up in such a beautiful way. Together, we can raise awareness, support one another, and keep fighting for a future where fewer families have to hear the words “you have breast cancer.” 💗

Exciting changes are happening at 1335 Capouse Ave., the former Penn Ridge pool site! The City of Scranton is transforming the area into a brand-new splash pad and playground designed to give local families a fun place to cool off and enjoy the outdoors.

The park is an estimated $1.8 million project that revitalizes the formerly run-down Penn Ridge pool complex in the Pine Brook neighborhood, using American Rescue Plan Act money and other funding sources.

The park will also feature an open-air shelter, lawn space and other improvements.

A powerful night at the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s 67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in PA traveling photo exhibit at the Waverly Community House.
It was an incredibly moving experience and a beautiful tribute to the women whose stories are shared through these powerful photographs. The exhibit is a testament to the strength, courage, hope, and love of breast cancer survivors across Pennsylvania.
Thank you to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition for creating such a meaningful exhibit that honors these amazing women and to Clarks Summit Goes Pink for reminding us of the importance of awareness, support, and community. 💗
