Vote Today, Town Meeting, Town Report

1) Vote Today - The polls are open at the Community Center at 42 Prospect Street from 8am to 8pm.

2) Town Meeting - The Annual Town Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9am, at the Town Office / Union Hall, 1 Union Street.

3) Town Report - The Town Report is available. It is posted on our website at searsport.maine.gov. A hard copy can be picked up at the Town Office. Copies are available at the polls when you vote and will be at the Annual Town Meeting. The 2025 Audit will be included in this document when it is complete.

Don't miss this slice of Searsport History!

Tonight’s performances will be held at SDMHS at 6:30 PM, featuring Belfast and Mt. View, with each school performing its own play. All three schools will also perform at Mt. View on Friday and at Belfast on Saturday.
Tickets are $5 at the door.

As we get ready for 2026, we like to survey our members and people who may be interested in attending meetings. The Committee usually meets twice a month at different days and times to try to accommodate more people. Please fill out this survey by Monday 1/12 (click here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdxP4J5XoYvX6Rb-HXKLn3hV5q4caKpmc4rHiSuEf_meDbN6Q/viewform). We will base our meeting schedule in 2026 off the survey responses. Our first meeting of the year will be in early February.

About the Searsport Events Committee:

The Searsport Events Committee plans and coordinates Searsport's Memorial Day Parade & Service, July 4th Celebration, Fling into Fall, and Searsport Tree Lighting & Menorah Lighting. The Committee also helps share and promote other events occurring in Searsport.

The public is encouraged to come to Committee meetings. We appreciate your participation! Attendees who regularly join us and want to be more involved may be recommended for appointment to be voting members.

What are you doing for New Year's Eve?

NOON YEAR'S EVE - Wednesday, December 31st from 11:00am to 12:00 noon!

Ring in the new year here at the library during a mid-day celebration featuring crafts for kids, a photo booth, and festive party favors! The countdown will begin at 11:59. We’ll toast the new year (with sparkling water) at noon. Dress to impress or come as you are!
