Our Daily Rest

Our Daily Rest We are Oconee County’s only homeless shelter. We opened our doors in 2009 and have served over 1647 people and counting. We provide a hand up, not a hand out.

Each homeless person, or client, has a unique set of circumstances that led to homelessness. But they all need a safe, secure, and sober refuge where they can receive help and encouragement to resolve issues and change patterns that have led to poverty and homelessness. Clients come with a variety of personal issues such as unemployment, addictions, legal problems, mental and physical health issue

s, poor documentation, disabilities, abuse, poor education and overall lack of life skills. Our counselors work with each client to develop an Individual Care Plan and then monitor and assist clients to fulfill that plan in order to transition to success. Each client meets with a counselor once a week to review and adjust his or her plan. Clients who aren’t serious about doing the work to change their circumstances and their lives are quickly asked to leave. Our Daily Rest is committed to helping people who truly want to change their situation by giving them every assistance and opportunity.

Good Morning, Facebook Family!

Today is Fabulous Friday, and we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Framing Hope to Home for completing the very last project on the women's side of our shelter.

When we tell you they have been committed to their mission and vision, we truly mean it. Their dedication, hard work, and consistent support have made a lasting impact on our residents and our organization.
We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and generosity. Because of community partners like Framing Hope to Home, we are able to continue creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for the women we serve.

Please help us thank them for their continued support and dedication to Our Daily Rest.We are forever grateful to them.We also want to thank all of our donors for the continued support and dedication to our mission.

Hello Facebook Family, On Saturday, we hosted a successful Open House event that demonstrated the community's support and appreciation. We would like to express our sincere apprecation to Framing Hope to Home for their deciated contributions to ODR and their help with our event. We are extremely grateful for them.We also appreciate Ms.Jane Day stopping by and helping us. To our dedicated donors and volunteers, we thank you for your unwavering support. We would never be able do any of this without all of you.We would also like to thank our clients for helping us thank you ladies and gentlemen so much.
Due to the event's fast pace, we didn't manage to take many photos. We are grateful for everyone's participation.

Good afternoon Facebook Family, yesterday ODR was invited to participate in KKCP Mix and Mingle at Kewoee Key.It was an amazing event.There were a total of 25 nonprofits that were invited.We had an amazing time.We were thrilled to see some faces we haven't seen in a while.Once again Thank you KKCP for inviting us.

Oh, my goodness, we don’t even know where to begin! Our Daily Rest Annual Gala on Monday night was an incredible success. The love and support from our community was truly overwhelming. If you weren’t there, you missed an amazing evening!

We tried something new this year with our Challenge Board, and it was a huge success! Seeing everyone come together in support of our mission reminded us why this work is so important.

Thank you to every business, church, and individual who sponsored a table, purchased a ticket, or just wanted to donate. Your generosity and commitment mean the world to us.
A special thank you to our Board President, Julian Davis, for sharing such powerful success stories, and to our Executive Director, Tim Gordon, for his tireless dedication. We are also so grateful for each of our board members, your support never goes unnoticed.
