We had another great day at Legends Club for the 19th Annual Tee It Up For The Task Force annual fundraiser. Choose Not To Use (CNTU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and preventing substance abuse in K-12 children as well as citizens of Scott County. This organization is run through my office and is committed to reducing the financial burden substance abuse creates on users, law enforcement, schools, government agencies and families. Please see Choosenottouse.org for more information and what we have recently done in our community.
Special thanks to the golfers, the volunteers, and all our sponsors for making this event so special and successful. And of course so much gratitude for Jessica Schoenwald, my Crime and Drug Prevention Coordinator who makes CNTU and this fund raiser run so efficiently and successfully.

What a great weekend at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Wacipi (Powwow)! I had a wonderful time volunteering and helping transport audience members and dancers around the grounds. It was an amazing experience, and I had the opportunity to meet so many great people from across the country.

Once my shift wrapped up Sunday, we headed over to the Most Holy Trinity Church Veseli, MN for the 59th Veseli Ho-Down to meet up with some friends and keep the good times going.

Grateful for a fun-filled weekend, new friendships, great memories, and the chance to be part of such wonderful events!

A big thank you to the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce for a fantastic couple of days meeting people and taking part in Prior Lake Days!
Friday night we joined the Sip and Stroll, and on Saturday we were out with our vendor table. We had so many great conversations and really enjoyed connecting with the community. The turnout was excellent — thank you to everyone who stopped by!

It was great connecting with so many families at National Night Out in the City of Savage!
This is always one of my favorite events—hanging out with our firefighters, police officers, and other first responders while meeting the people we serve. Getting to ride around with Savage Fire Chief Jeremie Breshahan in his Chief's vehicle is always entertaining. Savage Fire Department- Minnesota

See you in Shakopee next week!

Congratulations to R.J. Alpers, and his team of Bailey, Caari, Michelle and the entire Victim/Witness Division, along with the Prior Lake Police Department, on a major jury trial victory!
Antony Arnett was found guilty on 8 counts, including:

First Degree Burglary
False Imprisonment
Assault – Inflicting Substantial Bodily Harm
Domestic Assault by Strangulation
Obstruction of Legal Process
Domestic Assault – Inflicting Harm
Domestic Assault – Causing Fear
Violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order

What makes this verdict especially powerful is that it was achieved without the victim having to testify — a testament to meticulous preparation and strong teamwork.
My team came together to protect the victim’s safety while holding the defendant fully accountable. I couldn’t be prouder of our prosecutors, Victim/Witness Team, legal support staff, and law enforcement partners for their relentless work every day to keep our community safe.
Justice matters - Experience matters.

Had a great time with my son Micky at Belle Plaine BBQ Days. We walked the parade route and then headed over for those great sandwiches. After that we headed to Prior Lake for Rockin' on Reeds. There were great bands and this is a wonderful event put on by Knotty Oar Marina - Prior Lake.

This week we will be at the Scott County Fair. Please stop by our booth for a visit.
