Sharon's 3rd Annual Chalk Fest this Sunday! Come support our local artists and check out the amazing artwork from 9am-1pm at Sharon Town Hall.

The Sharon Cultural Council and Sharon Recreation Department are excited to bring back the 3rd Annual Chalk Art Festival on Sunday, May 31 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sharon Town Hall.

Come participate in or watch as the Town Hall area is transformed into a vibrant outdoor gallery. Artists of all ages will create colorful chalk murals across the pavement, turning the space into a celebration of creativity and community.

Registration is now open to participate in the Chalk Art Contest, which includes four new participation categories to provide wider recognition across ages and skills:
- Professional Artist
- Adult Artist
- Family / Team Collaboration
- Youth Artist

In addition to the Chalk Art Contest, there will be plenty for families and attendees to enjoy. We’ll have food trucks, music, free face painting, lawn games, and a community chalk space where anyone can grab some chalk and create their own drawing just for fun. Free event for all!

The community is invited to take part in the Lake Massapoag Cleanup Saturday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will remove trash and invasive plants from around Lake Massapoag and nearby streets. You can help clean up by land or water.

All ages are welcome.

Volunteers will meet at the bandstand at Veterans’ Memorial Park Beach, Beach Street.

Gear will be provided. Volunteers should bring water and sunscreen.

Registration and waivers are required.

SAVE THE DATE! The 6th annual Sharon Day will be held Sunday, September 27th, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Park. More specific details regarding the event will be published as the date draws closer. This year's event is dedicated to the memory of longtime Recreation Department member, friend, and partner Richard B. Gorden. Richie was an annual sponsor and advocate of Sharon Day since the event's inception.

Booth applications for businesses and organizations will become available in early August.

Thank you to all participating food/drink/dessert trucks and to all who joined us and the Sharon Health Department for our first Food Truck Fest yesterday afternoon! We had a great turnout and fantastic weather for this event’s first year, and we hope to make this an annual spring event for the future. We would also like to thank Sharon PD, Fire/EMS, DPW for their support as well as DJ Brett Ooch for providing the soundtrack and entertainment for a fun filled afternoon.
