Due to rainy conditions throughout the day Veterans’ Memorial Park Beach will be closed for operations today 8/17/26.
If you decide to swim or use the facilities, please understand you will be doing so at your own risk. We will resume normal beach operations tomorrow during our normal hours. Thank you!

As a reminder, staffing and lifeguard coverage for Community Center Beach will end after today, Friday August 14th. Veterans Memorial Park Beach will be staffed through Saturday, August 22nd.

The Recreation Department extends our thanks and gratitude towards our dedicated team of waterfront staff for their work and commitment during this hot summer.

The Angry Trees come to Sharon for tonight’s Lakeside Concert Series! Shoveltown Brewery will be providing the pizza oven and beer garden.

The Veterans Memorial Park Beach parking lot on the west side will be closed on Aug. 12 and 17 for construction on the parking lot, weather permitting.

This is the parking lot side closest to Gunhouse Street when entering through the main entrance.

The beach will still be open and parking available in the rest of the lot.
