Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking before the Colbert County Commission and sharing about Shoals CASA, our mission, and the incredible work our program is doing for children and families in our community. 💙

I also had the opportunity to request funding to help us continue and expand our work within Colbert County.

When Shoals CASA began serving Colbert County in 2021, we had zero Colbert County cases. Today, we serve more children within the Colbert County court system than any other area we serve.

The need is growing.

Our courts and our community continue to see the value that CASA volunteers bring—not only to court proceedings and dependency cases, but most importantly, to the lives of the children and families we serve.

We stand firm in our mission and are incredibly proud of the work being done every day. When a child has a CASA, that child has one consistent person who cares about them, values their voice, advocates for their needs, and works to ensure their best interests remain at the center of their case.

But we cannot do this work alone.

• Pray for our children, volunteers, staff, courts, and program.
