The Shepherd Police Department has created this FB account to interact with the community and to allow transparency with those we serve. Department understands criticism is a way to learn and stay educated on topics concerning the public. The Shepherd Police Department proudly serves the Village of Shepherd and Coe Township. Our Officers are also deputized to enforce criminal and civil law in Isab

ella County. The department however will not allow any derogatory remarks, comments, pictures, video or links. The department will not allow any illegal activity to be broadcast on this site or have links to any immoral or improper websites. Any abuse will result in that FB friend account being removed. This page is managed by the Shepherd Police Department. This page and comments posted are monitored, but not on a 24/7 basis. We are happy that you have become part of our extended family and hopefully as a team we all will provide the best service possible.

ASK ANYTHING MONDAY time! We do this to help answer law enforcement related questions...because believe or not, a lot of people think they know all the answers because they watched a YouTube video or Hill Street Blues as a kid.

Remember, we don't provide legal advice...call a lawyer for that. We also don't play Monday Morning QB...there is enough of that on YouTube, social media, around the water cooler (do companies still have water coolers) and by your Uncle Jimmy at the summer family reunion, where he explained to you what he would have done while critiquing a body camera video, based upon his experience...not in law enforcement.

Tomorrow, August 8th, the ODRAM (One Day Ride Across Michigan) bicycle tour will be coming through Shepherd (Blanchard Rd across the county). They are expecting 170 riders throughout the day.

Before anyone says it...they have the same rights to be on a public road as a motorized vehicle. They don't have to use the bike/walk path.

Please be aware of them on the roads in your travels as they complete a pretty cool challenge.

The Marilyn Chapman Memorial Fund contacted us about a gift they wanted to bless a family with, a hotel stay and water park passes.

We found a family with an incredible story and are excited to send them on a little mini-vacation.
