Had a little excitement at the office this Friday afternoon! Some of the mulch in front of our building began to smoke and start burning. The fast response of team members quickly contained the area and the South Portland Fire Department came out to give the area a good soaking. They said this is typically caused from a flicked lit cigarette- and although we are a smoke-free property- someone could have discarded their cigarette into the area on their way into our building. A great reminder that ci******es should never be flicked on the ground- in this event no one was hurt and our building was not touched- we feel very fortunate. Our many thanks go out to the SPFD and our attentive team members! ❤️❤️❤️

In 2022, Danny Lowe was recognized as crossing guard of the year in Portland. He even got a key to the city. In his job, Danny is thrust into the spotlight every day. But not long ago, he avoided it.
