We’re officially ONE MONTH away from Concert in the Park, and we’re excited to announce our 2026 headliner Grammy Award Winning Band, Kool & the Gang.

Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of live music, community performances, delicious food truck options, family fun and more at Orange Memorial Park in South San Francisco!

The countdown is on! Mark your calendars for the City of South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Concert in the Park on Saturday, September 12, at Orange Memorial Park.

As the City’s largest annual community event, Concert in the Park brings together thousands of residents and visitors for an unforgettable day of live music, delicious food, family-friendly activities, community vendors, and more.

This year’s celebration will feature an enhanced experience made possible through the generous support of Genentech, which is commemorating their 50th anniversary and longstanding partnership with the South San Francisco community.

🌟 High School Volunteers Needed! 🌟
Make a difference this summer by volunteering at our Full of Fun Camp! We’re looking for enthusiastic high school students to join us for Session 2 (July 20–24) and Session 3 (August 3–7).

Full of Fun Camp is designed for teens and young(ish) adults with special needs to participate in camp activities paired with a high school volunteer.  New pairings are created each day for them to do all the activities together.  Some of the activities include art, science, cooking, outside play, field trips, and more.  The volunteers provide important social support, aide in the forming of relationships, and encourage everyone to have fun in and safe and supportive environment. 

For volunteers, camp operates Monday-Friday from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. at the Alice Bulos Community Center.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kasey Jo Kelly at [email protected].  Thank you and we look forward to having you at camp!

Staff Highlight: Angela Duldulao✨
Deputy Director of the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department!
“Happy National Parks and Recreation Month! I’m Angela Duldulao, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as Deputy Director of the City of South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department since 2022. Before that, I served as the Department’s Management Analyst II from 2015 to 2018 and Recreation Division Program Manager from 2018 to 2022. While my career has spanned more than 20 years and included teaching abroad, nonprofit fundraising, and State-level administration, I feel incredibly fortunate that my journey brought me back to South San Francisco.

As a long-time South City resident, my passion for local government and public service really began after participating in the City’s first Citizens Academy in 2006. That experience opened my eyes to the impact local government can have on people’s everyday lives, and I knew I wanted to be part of that work.

Today, I’m proud to help lead a department that creates opportunities for people to connect, stay active, and build community. I work alongside an amazing team to provide parks, recreation programs, events, and public spaces that enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages. Parks and Recreation Month is one of my favorite times of the year because it’s a chance to celebrate the many ways these spaces and programs bring people together, support health and well-being, and create lasting memories.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis, and giving back to the community is something that extends beyond my work. It’s truly a family affair - my husband, our two children, and I can often be found volunteering together at community events throughout South San Francisco.“

Angela is an exemplary leader to the department and we are incredibly fortunate to have her guidance expertise and unwavering commitment to the ! 🙌
