We are so proud of our amazing SPM middle school students and their recent Montessori + Gonzaga Philosophy Showcase!

Throughout the semester, our middle schoolers partnered with Gonzaga philosophy students to explore big ideas and essential questions through discussion, critical thinking, art, and reflection. Working in small groups, students examined topics connected to appearance, influence, and action while learning how philosophy helps us better understand ourselves, our communities, and the world around us.

Their final showcase, Masks & Monologues, highlighted not only their creativity and academic growth, but also their courage to ask thoughtful questions such as:
✨ What is philosophy and why does it matter?
✨ What did we discuss and learn?
✨ How do we see ourselves vs. how does the world see us?

Experiences like these remind us how capable, reflective, and insightful Montessori adolescents truly are. We are grateful for this meaningful collaboration and so proud of the work our students shared with the community!

It’s Campout Season at SPM!

One of the most meaningful traditions of the school year is watching our students step outside the classroom and into experiences that build confidence, independence, and connection. Campout provides valuable opportunities for real-life learning, problem-solving, teamwork, and community building in ways that simply cannot be replicated inside the classroom.

These are the moments they will remember for years to come.

Spokane Public Montessori Spring Fest was a wonderful success this year!

Last night, our campus was filled with laughter, music, and the energy of families and friends coming together to celebrate our community. From student-led activities to delicious treats and fun games, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy.

Spring Fest is more than just an event—it’s a reflection of what makes our school so special: collaboration, creativity, and connection. Seeing our students take pride in sharing their work and our families engaging with one another reminds us how strong and vibrant our community is.

A huge thank you to our Middle School Students, volunteers, staff, and families who helped make this event possible. Your time, effort, and enthusiasm made the day unforgettable!
We’re already looking forward to next year! 💚
