Springfield Main Street Program strives to preserve the historic integrity of the downtown district, cultivate a center of commerce and activity and promote Springfield’s unique cultural and architectural heritage. Vision Statement:
Springfield Main Street will create an economically successful downtown district that is attractive, safe, and desirable for all while preserving

our cultural and historic integrity. Social Media Policy:
Comments placed on the social media site are subject to the following guidelines:
a. The city, as a public entity, must abide by certain standards to serve all its constituents in a civil and unbiased manner. The city’s social media sites prohibit the posting of content and/or comments containing any of the following:
1. Comments not topically-related to the site or blog article being commented upon;
2. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected class status;
4. Sexual content or links to sexual content;
5. Solicitations of commerce;
6. Conduct, or encouragement, of illegal activity;
7. Threats of violence or to public safety;
8. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public;
9. Comments posted by automatic software programs; or
10. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.
11. The city reserves the right to deny access to the city’s social media sites for any individual who violates the city’s Social Media Policy, at any time and without prior notice.

We’re so excited to welcome Audrey Watson as our newest Springfield Main Street intern! 💛

Audrey is a senior at Washington County High School participating in their experience based work program. She’s eager to get started and will be helping us welcome visitors, create fun social media content, and jump in to help with downtown events and activities!

When she’s not hanging out with Main Street, Audrey stays busy as a Commanders cheerleader 📣, FFA member, Ed Rising member, and Student Council member.

We can’t wait to see all the energy, creativity, and ideas she brings to downtown Springfield! ✨

So, Springfield, give Audrey a big welcome! 👋 If you see her around downtown, be sure to stop by, say hello, and introduce yourself!
