Springfield Main Street Program strives to preserve the historic integrity of the downtown district, cultivate a center of commerce and activity and promote Springfield’s unique cultural and architectural heritage. Vision Statement:
Springfield Main Street will create an economically successful downtown district that is attractive, safe, and desirable for all while preserving

our cultural and historic integrity. Social Media Policy:
Comments placed on the social media site are subject to the following guidelines:
a. The city, as a public entity, must abide by certain standards to serve all its constituents in a civil and unbiased manner. The city’s social media sites prohibit the posting of content and/or comments containing any of the following:
1. Comments not topically-related to the site or blog article being commented upon;
2. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected class status;
4. Sexual content or links to sexual content;
5. Solicitations of commerce;
6. Conduct, or encouragement, of illegal activity;
7. Threats of violence or to public safety;
8. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public;
9. Comments posted by automatic software programs; or
10. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.
11. The city reserves the right to deny access to the city’s social media sites for any individual who violates the city’s Social Media Policy, at any time and without prior notice.

The Veterans Banners are officially going up in downtown Springfield! 🇺🇸

We are incredibly proud to honor and display some of our local veterans, especially as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday year! These men and women answered the call to serve, and their courage, sacrifice, and dedication helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

Take a moment to look up as you stroll downtown and join us in thanking the veterans who have served our country. ❤️🤍💙

A huge thank you to the City of Springfield Public Works team for hanging the banners and for all they do throughout the year to support our community! And a special shoutout to our Visitor Center Coordinator, Kelli Biggs, for designing the banners!

What an incredible two days it has been! Springfield Main Street attended the Spring Conference in Lexington and Versailles, ending with the Kentucky Main Street awards ceremony.

We are excited to announce that one of our very own, Springfield Tourism’s Director, Lora Justice, was selected to be the recipient of “Outstanding Main Street Partner” for her work in supporting and promoting the mission of Springfield Main Street and our downtown district.

Congratulations to all the award recipients and especially to Lora! 🤗
